An estimated guide to tuition fees and living costs

Your tuition fees will depend on what studies you pursue at NUMed Malaysia. You can choose from our pre-university programme and our two undergraduate degree courses:

  • Foundation in Biological and Biomedical Sciences
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • BSc (Honours) Biomedical Sciences
  • BSc Honours Sport and Exercise Science 
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science

Tuition and other fees for international students

As an international student, you are required to show that you have the funds to support yourself for an academic year before you can get a visa.

This estimate is based on a moderate budget, but individual expenses will vary.

Sales and Service Tax (SST)

The following education-related charges are subject to SST:

  • tuition fees
  • registration fees
  • admission charges
  • co-curricular charges
  • books and study materials charges;
  • teaching aids/facilities charges; or
  • any other charges or fees relating to education imposed by the institution.

For NUMed students, this tax will come into effect starting 1 September 2025.

Malaysian students are not subject to this tax.
