Canvas Group Assignments

Projects that encourage students to work collaboratively are an excellent way to develop skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and conflict resolution.

If you wish to assess your students’ group work, the Canvas Assignment settings include an option to enable Group Assignments. This allows a Student Group Set to be attached to the assignment and one student from each group can submit work on behalf of the group.

You can choose whether to assign individual marks to each student or award the same grade to all students in the group.
