World Car Free Day
Monday 22 September is World Car Free Day we are very happy to be taking a city-wide approach with local institutions including Newcastle City Council, Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Nexus.
We are asking those who can, to take the Newcastle Car Free Day pledge and commute to campus using a car free mode of transport such as cycling, walking or wheeling, metro or bus. Those who make the Car Free pledge can pop down to the Civic Centre to grab a free coffee when they show their pledge, you will also be entered into a prize draw!
If you would like to explore which sustainable transport options are available to you for commuting to campus, you can generate your own Personal Travel Plan for free using the Mobilityways platform.
