Leads development and implementation of University sustainability policy, strategy and objectives, providing strategic advice to University Executive, Sustainability Committee and Director of Estates and Facilities.

• Development of the University's Climate Action Plan and progress towards the net-zero carbon target.
• Leading continual improvement in environmental performance of the University and ensuring continued certification to recognised standards including ISO14001.
• Leading and developing the Sustainability Team, with responsibility for (non-academic) sustainability including energy, carbon, water, waste, travel, legislative compliance and behaviour change.
• Development and oversight of policies, procedures and systems associated with the University's environmental performance.
• Development of appropriate performance indicators, monitoring, benchmarking and reporting on performance and managing delivery of targets.
• Identification of emerging opportunities and challenges, ensuring the University is informed of relevant legislative and policy issues. Evaluation of the University's compliance with environmental legislation.
