Ceremony Dates

The Summer 2026 ceremonies are primarily for students finishing courses between December 2025 and June 2026. They will take place from 6 to 17 July 2026. The exact date of each ceremony will be set in late February/early March. All students expecting to graduate will be emailed as soon as the date of their ceremony is confirmed, and a schedule will be published on our webpage. Before that time, we cannot predict the timetable of ceremonies; this is created from scratch every year and does not follow a pattern from previous years. 

 

The Winter 2026 ceremonies are primarily for students finishing courses between July 2026 and November 2026. The provisional dates for the Winter congregations are 30 November to 4 December 2026. The exact date of each ceremony will be set in late September. Before that time, we cannot predict the timetable of ceremonies; the schedule is created from scratch every year and does not follow a pattern from previous years. 

Award Certificates

Your certificate is an official document which proves you have a Newcastle University qualification.

We’ll release your electronic degree certificate to you through the Parchment (formerly known as Digitary).
