How did you find out about the funding?
I found out about the Make It Happen Fund through a friend who had previously used the funding for a similar reason — to help with the costs of attending placement interviews, including travel expenses and suitable interview clothing. After hearing about their experience, I decided to apply as I was facing similar costs during my own placement search.

What impact did the funding have?
The funding had a significant impact on my placement journey. It helped reduce the financial pressure associated with applying for opportunities and allowed me to attend important interviews without worrying as much about the additional costs. With this support, I was able to successfully secure a placement year position as a Commercial Excellence Analyst at PPG, which I am very excited to begin.
Would you recommend other students to apply?
I would absolutely recommend other students apply for the Make It Happen Fund. The support can open doors by removing some of the financial barriers that come with career development opportunities, such as travelling to interviews or preparing professionally. It is a fantastic resource that helps students access opportunities they may otherwise find difficult to pursue.
