I was fortunate enough to complete a year placement as a Sport science intern working with Southampton Fc. This opportunity allowed me to work alongside and gain mentorship by industry leading specialists. Over the year I got to travel all over the country visiting different academy training grounds for matches and competitions. Another incredible experience included travelling abroad for Competitive tournaments which was great exposure operating in an elite competitive environment. I believe a placement year is one of, if not, the most valuable experience you can undertake during your degree.
