I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish and Catalan as Second Languages from the University of Girona. I am currently a Lecturer in Catalan Studies, where I teach language modules at different levels, including Introduction to Catalan and Intermediate Catalan, as well as a cultural module titled Food, Football, and Fiction: Constructing Catalan Cultural Identity.
Alongside my teaching, I am pursuing a PhD on inclusion and diversity in foreign language education. My doctoral research, Beyond Preservation: Social Justice through Minoritised Languages. Gender, Race, and Sexual Orientation in Higher Education Catalan Teaching in the UK and Ireland, examines how minoritised languages can function as spaces for social justice and critical engagement within higher education.
