Staff Profile

Richard Crulley is the Head of Strategic Implementation and Change for the Faculty of Science, Agriculture & Engineering (SAgE) at Newcastle University.

As a senior manager, he is a member of the Leadership Team overseeing change initiatives and providing strategic direction to highlight our world-class academic experience, research excellence and business innovation.

Richard leads a talented team spanning Project Management, Planning & Performance, Business Process Improvement and the professional services staff in the National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD).

Previously, Richard worked as the Head of Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment for the Faculty overseeing all aspects of marketing, internal and external communications, alumni relations, events, global student recruitment, outreach and engagement.

Beyond his professional role, Richard is Vice Chair of Governors at a Primary School, and he is also a Mentor through the University’s established scheme to support colleagues with their career development.
