Global Women's Breakfast 2026: Many Voices, One Science... Everyone's Business

10 February, 08:30
Boiler House

The IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast is an event that happens on a single day in February of each year in conjunction with the U.N Day of Women and Girls in Science, with hundreds of events taking place at the same time across the world. Over the last five years, more than 1500 GWB events have been held across 100 different countries.

This year's theme is "Many Voices, One Science… Everyone’s Business" and will be led by Prof. Alison Shaw, formerly Prof. of Practice for Inclusive Learning at Newcastle University. Alison will provide food for thought about the current level of diversity in science - and notably the talent pipeline in Chemistry.

Join us for a lively discussion over breakfast about how we can help enable greater diversity in the science community; and widen access in society at large to both an understanding and a love of science.

All are welcome!
