Thank you for visiting the website for the Green Spaces and Nature in Coquetdale Workshop! Places are limited, so please indicate your interest with this form and fill in your email.
Join researchers from Newcastle University at an open workshop for Rothbury and Coquetdale this February, where we’ll explore how the community uses public green spaces and grassed areas, and what can be done for pollinators and other biodiversity.
We want to hear your views and understand what’s important to you in green spaces.
With the support of Rothbury Parish Council, we are trialling changes to the gardening and management of three small grassy areas in Rothbury in spring and summer 2026. Join us for a discussion before work commences and/or tell us what you think after the summer when we follow up!
Whether you enjoy picnics, dog walking, taking in the sights, nature, or anything else, Newcastle University wants to hear from you! Join Dr Amy Proctor, Professor Darren Evans, and PhD student Tom Atkins at the Jubilee Hall to contribute to this important research.
