Rachel has worked primarily in higher education, focusing on outreach, widening participation, and student recruitment, with a range of people, community groups, and organisations. In her current role as Engagement and Place Co-ordinator in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, she works with colleagues from across the Faculty to support PPIE activity.
Her role focuses on public engagement, supporting the University and Faculty's Public and Patient Engagement and Involvement Strategy, and she serves as the Director of Engagement for the Faculty. She provides day-to-day support with colleagues who wish to undertake engagement, administers the Tilly Hale Awards, coordinates the Being Well Space in the Grainger Market, and more.
