Background
Alex previously undertook doctoral studies at Northumbria University where her research focused on loneliness and well-being in older adults.
She joined Newcastle University in July 2022 as a member of the Population Health Sciences Institute within the Ageing and Geroscience theme. Here she was a research fellow for the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North East and North Cumbria working within the Multimorbidity Ageing and Frailty theme with a focus on mental health.
Alex is Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) lead and a qualitative researcher for the NIHR funded AI-Multiply project.
