Welcome and Induction week starts on Monday 15th September 2025.
Teaching starts on Monday 22nd September 2025.
Accessing your induction materials
New Undergraduate Students:
All Stage 1 students will be expected to be on campus for induction, to attend timetabled sessions and events. Your first session will be as follows:
- All students on Maths programmes (G100, G103, G200, GG13, GGC3, G1N3, G1N4, GL11, NG41)
- Tuesday 16th September, please arrive at 10:00am, for a 10:15am start, Ground Floor, Herschel Building.
- All students on Physics programmes (F300, F303, F344, F345, F3F5, F3FM)
- Tuesday 16th September, please arrive at 10:45am, for a 11:00am start, Ground Floor, Herschel Building.
- All students on Foundation Year programmes (G101, F304, H101)
- Monday 15th September, please arrive at 10:00am Ground Floor, Herschel Building.

New Postgraduate Research students
Please contact your Supervisor to arrange an initial meeting to take place within the first few days of arrival if possible. A laptop will be available for your use throughout the programme of study. Please contact maths.physics.pg@newcastle.ac.uk to arrange a time for collection and be provided with arrangements for hot desk/ office space. A tour of the building will also be available to you.
