Project Description

I work on the edition of unpublished Greek papyri from Byzantine Egypt to gain a better understanding of everyday life at that time, based on letters, contracts, and accounts held in the National Library of Austria. These documents give us access to new elements and provide new insights into society (administration, economy, social).

Conferences and Publications

  • Paper in the 31st International Congress of Papyrology in Köln (August 2025): "A late papyrus from Heracleopolis"
  • Article in the proceedings of the congress (not published yet)
  • Paper during the workshop "Langue, traduction et communication" in Paris ("La papyrologie en tant qu'accès aux voix du passé")
  • Editions of three papyri, two in P. Reinach III (coming soon) and one in P. Reinach IV (not published yet))

Other Roles

  • Research Assistant for the BBC podcast 'You're Dead To Me', co-writer for one episode
  • Volunteer for two excavations campaigns in France, one for Briga, Eu (2022), and another for Les Bouchauds (2023)

Qualifications

  • BA in Classics at Sorbonne Université (2019-2022)
  • MA in Classics at Sorbonne Université, with a thesis on the edition of three unpublished papyri from Sorbonne Collection, under the supervision of Dr. Benoït Laudenbach and Prof. Naïm Vanthieghem
