Dr. Hamed Rezaee is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Robotics and Autonomous Systems in the School of Engineering. His research interests include control theory, robotics, multi-agent systems, aerospace systems, autonomous vehicles, and nonlinear dynamics (including bifurcation and chaos).
Dr. Rezaee received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in control engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively. His research focused on control of nonlinear multi-agent systems such as unmanned air vehicles and spacecraft. From 2018 to 2022, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. The position was a part of a project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, where he was conducting research on resilient control in networked systems, intelligent transport, and distributed estimation. From 2023 to 2025, he was also a Research Associate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, where he was working on an EPSRC project on vibration control in the context of control-based continuation.
Dr. Rezaee severed as a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (2024-2025) and currently serve as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board and for the European Control Association Conference Editorial Board. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
