Background
Kate joined the Careers Service in July 2019. She previously worked in Careers Guidance and Development at York St John University, The University of Huddersfield and the National Careers Service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Kate is the linked Careers Consultant for the Faculty of Medical Science. Her caseload includes linked support for our schools of Biomedical and Biomolecular Science, Medicine and Pharmacy.
She is also the FMS lead for all postgraduate reseachers and co-leads the central provision for the Careers Services dedicated PGR Cross Faculty Workshop programme.
She is the lead administrator for the GAMSAT Bursary and co-lead for the Stage 1 Research Insights Programme and Biomedical Extravaganza Bonanaza.
Kate is also our linked Consultant to the Student Recruitment and Central Marketing teams responsible for the Careers Service presence and involvement in univeristy open and offer holder days, recruitment webinars and prospective student summer schools includcing our flagship PARTNERS Access programme.
